Hatenboer - Water, The Netherlands

The Hatenboer organisation has a long history in the world of water. Its roots lie in the Rotterdam-based company Hatenboer-Neptunus, which has been providing shipping and industry in the port of Rotterdam with water since 1906 by means of so-called "waterbarges".

In order to keep pace with the ever-changing market demands and the increase in problems related to water, in the early 1970's Hatenboer-Demi was founded. Since then it has grown into a modern company with a complete programme of equipment, products and services for general (drinking) water treatment.

Some years ago the name, Hatenboer-Demi, has been changed into Hatenboer-Water, to make clear at a glance in what field the activities take place.

Following the emergence of membrane filtration in the 1980's, Demitec started, initially as a separate division for membrane filtration. At the modification of Hatenboer-Demi into Hatenboer-Water, the Demitec acvities were also placed under the name Hatenboer-Water.

As a result of the growth of all activities, in 1998 the forming of Hatenboer-Neptunus Holding B.V. became a necessity.

In Hatenboer-Water the knowledge, expertise and experience are bundled and as a result, the organisation is able to offer its evergrowing circle of clients, a complete package of installations, products and services.

Since September 2001, the company Nautec Reijse from Makkum (Friesland), has joined Hatenboer-Neptunus Holding. For years already there was a close cooperation between Hatenboer-Water (Schiedam) and Nautec Reijse (Makkum), in the technological development of highly reliable, advanced water treatment systems for example based on membrane filtration.

Nautec Reijse was also specialised in membrane filtration under the trade mark Bluewave©, with special designs for Navy and luxury motor and sailing yachts. In this area they are very much experienced and have a strong reputation.

Since January 1st, 2003 the company name Nautec Reijse has been changed intoHatenboer-Water Noord b.v. thus accentuating the involvement with Hatenboer-Neptunus Holding. The premises of Hatenboer-Water Noord remained in Makkum, but as from January 1st, 2004 the activities stopped overthere and are token over by Hatenboer-Water.

The premises of Hatenboer-Water (city of Schiedam) are located on the banks of the river Maas at Schiedam, the building, which was completed in 1998, contains a modern, well-equipped workshop. Because of growth of the company a major extension of the offices and workshop was necessary. This extension is realized and the new space is put into use since September 2003!
